Maria Robinson is running for State Representative in the 6th Middlesex District of Massachusetts. A former Town Meeting member, Maria is a clean energy policy expert and advocate, who has spent the last decade helping state policymakers and public officials throughout the country to address climate change through renewable energy and energy efficiency policies.
The mother of two children adopted from foster care, Maria will advocate for all Framingham families, focusing on creating safe environments for our children to learn and grow, as well as developing career opportunities for them within the Commonwealth. This includes promoting non-traditional higher education opportunities, including trade apprenticeships.
A life-long Democrat, Maria is the child of public servants and union members, who taught her the value of hard work and giving back to her community. Maria is a lifetime Girl Scout, serves on the board of the Framingham Public Library Foundation, and is a member of the Framingham Democratic Town Committee.
As a state representative, Maria will use her extensive knowledge and local experience to work on behalf of all Framingham residents to turn our new city into the economic powerhouse we know it can be. She plans to focus her efforts on ensuring access to truly affordable health care, preserving LGBTQ+ rights, protecting consumers and their data, and providing affordable options in the city for our senior community.
