Jack Stanton

Jack Stanton is a progressive Democrat running for the Massachusetts House of Representatives 5th Barnstable district, which consists of Barnstable, Bourne, and Plymouth. Jack is running for State Representative because for far too long Cape Cod has been written off as a wealthy enclave not deserving of support from the State Government. Jack wishes to bring a fresh new perspective to the State House, and a vision which looks towards the long-term prosperity of the Cape Cod region.

Born and raised in the area, Stanton graduated from Sandwich High School as President of his class. After graduating from George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs, Jack worked at the World Bank in the Office of the Vice President. After working in the VP office, Jack taught Social Studies in Cairo, Egypt. When Jack returned to the US, he spent half a year as the Assistant to the Chief Financial Officer of the World Bank Group. In August 2016 Jack joined Forcier Consulting, a young and dynamic research consultant group, which works in logistically challenging environments across Africa. Jack spent time in Mozambique where he helped to build out the Mozambique Office and worked on program evaluations for the United Nations and NGO’s. In November 2017, Jack moved home and became frustrated with the political climate, and began to contemplate a candidacy for State Representative.

Currently Jack works on a lobster boat while he runs his campaign for State Representative.
