Mass Alliance is excited to endorse Cinda Danh, who is running for Lynn’s Ward 6 City Council seat, for its rising star program. Cinda is a proud and involved Lynner who has made building community the work of her life. Her experience, perspective, and passion would make her at home on the Council.
Cinda Danh is the daughter of Cambodian Genocide survivors who immigrated to the US in 1988. Growing up, Cinda’s parents worked hard to support their family; her father, a union worker, and her mother having to work miscellaneous jobs just to be able to put food on the table. When a local organization helped her family keep their house during the foreclosure crisis, Cinda realized the power of organizing to help those in need.
Cinda has worked in two state representative offices, where she engaged with countless residents of the commonwealth. She took particular pride in being able to take action to help resolve community concerns. Since then she has been heavily involved in the Lynn community: Cinda is a Raw Art Works Alum, a member of the Lynn Rotary Club, and a volunteer with Kakrona Center. She also serves on the board of Arts After Hours, Community Path of Lynn Coalition and is one of the Co-Founders of Voices of Lynn festival. She was also one of the organizers for The Revolutionists Club. Cinda’s government experience, coupled with her passion for the Lynn community, will make her an important and effective voice on the council.
